Summary
This episode details the brutal 2015 murder of Jonathan Cherol, who was shot at his home in Bluffton, South Carolina. Through 911 calls, interrogation transcripts, and police evidence, the episode outlines how investigators linked the crime to Samuel and Colette Collins. Evidence revealed that Samuel, fueled by jealousy and a belief that Cherol had orchestrated a previous robbery against him, used a borrowed shotgun to kill the victim on his back patio. Colette acted as the getaway driver, transporting her husband to the scene and later helping him dispose of the weapon. The investigation utilized surveillance footage, DNA, and ballistics to secure convictions for both individuals. Ultimately, Samuel was sentenced to 50 years for murder, while Colette received 15 years for her role as an accessory.
