Summary
The episode details the tragic 2021 murder of Dwight Grant, an 18-year-old high school student from Miramar, Florida. Investigators discovered that Grant was ambushed and killed with a sword after being lured into a stairwell by his classmate, Christy Parisian. The attack was orchestrated by Andre Clemens, who was driven by a jealous rage over Grant's involvement with a former girlfriend. Along with accomplice Jasine Smith, the group attempted to destroy evidence by burning their clothes and cleaning the crime scene. Digital forensics and surveillance footage eventually led to the arrest and conviction of all three teenagers. While the two girls received 25-year sentences, Clemens was sentenced to 40 years in prison for leading the fatal assault.
