Summary
This episode details the unsolved homicide of Tyler Wilkin, an Ohio man who was found dead while camping at Playa La Selva in Puerto Rico. In July 2026, the victim was discovered with a fatal execution-style gunshot wound after sending unsettling text messages about a mysterious individual he nicknamed “the howler.” The narrative explores the frustrations of his family regarding the official police response and their efforts to fund a private investigation. Descriptions of Wilkin’s magnetic personality and his love for the outdoors contrast with the grim details of the crime scene and the lack of surveillance footage. Ultimately, the sources highlight the unanswered questions surrounding his final moments and the ongoing search for justice.
