Summary
This episode details the tragic murder of Tiara Pool, a 21-year-old mother who was killed in Jacksonville, Florida, after meeting a man through a Craigslist personal advertisement. Seeking relief from the loneliness caused by her husband’s naval deployment, Pool connected with David Spar, who eventually traveled from Georgia to meet her. The investigation revealed a particularly gruesome crime scene where the victim suffered 89 stab wounds, leading authorities to track Spar through digital footprints and hospital surveillance footage. Although he initially claimed self-defense or memory loss, Spar’s confession and bragging letters to an ex-girlfriend exposed the premeditated and thrill-seeking nature of the attack. Ultimately, the source describes Spar's trial and his subsequent death penalty sentence, while offering a stark warning about the dangers of meeting strangers online.
