Summary
This episode details the tragic 2020 murder of Florida teenager Andrea Camps Layo, who was fatally shot during a botched robbery involving high-end Yeezy sneakers. While attempting to sell the shoes with her boyfriend, the couple was ambushed by Adrien Cosby and George Walton, resulting in a pursuit and a fatal wound to Layo. Investigators utilized an extensive network of neighborhood surveillance footage and cell phone data to track the suspects back to their own homes. Despite claims that the violence was unintentional, both men were eventually convicted of murder and other serious felonies. The legal proceedings concluded with life sentences for both defendants, providing a somber resolution for the victim's family years after the crime. This case highlights the dangerous intersection of resale culture and violent crime in the modern era.
