Summary
This episode details a gruesome criminal case in Michigan involving the murder and torture of Rebecca Park, a 22-year-old woman whose unborn child was forcibly removed from her body. The transcript outlines how investigators eventually pivoted their focus toward the victim’s own family, resulting in the arrests of her biological mother, Courtney Barthomayu, and her stepfather, Brad. Law enforcement navigated a complex web of conflicting narratives, including allegations of infidelity, revenge plots, and a desperate scheme to steal the infant. Body camera footage and investigative reports reveal a chilling atmosphere of finger-pointing among the suspects, as the biological parents and sister all accused one another of involvement. While the defendants await trial on charges of first-degree murder, the case remains a tragic example of extreme domestic violence and familial betrayal.
