Summary
The Pittsford Village Farm is finally alive—transformed into a community hub with affordable housing, a new grocery store, and a much-needed childcare center opening September 15th. Funded by donations, state grants, and even the National Parks Service, this citizen-driven project honors local leader Breda with “Breda’s Place,” a licensed space for 30 kids run by Rutland County Parent Child Center. It’s part of Vermont’s push under Act 76 to expand childcare access, though demand still far outpaces supply—especially in Rutland County, where over a thousand slots are needed. The farm is still raising $200K to finish its community center, designed as a flexible space for potlucks, yoga, and more. A ribbon-cutting on September 17th celebrates how communities can turn vision into vital, lasting resources. Listen in comfort: Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
