Summary
The Minnesota Wild just locked in head coach John Hynes with a multi-year extension, cementing his role as the architect of their recent success. In three seasons, Hynes has guided the team to a winning record, playoff appearances, and their first series win in over a decade — all while building a high-scoring, talent-developing system. With NHL coaching experience at Nashville and New Jersey, plus deep roots in the AHL and USA Hockey, Hynes brings proven leadership and international pedigree. Last season’s franchise records, elite power-play numbers, and multiple 40-goal scorers underscore his impact. This deal signals the Wild’s commitment to Hynes’ vision — and big things are coming.
