Summary
The Timberwolves quietly landed Trey Lyles, and he might just be the unsung hero of their roster. With two starting power forwards gone and LeBron James out of reach, Lyles — a veteran with NBA experience, solid defense, and a reliable three-point shot — is the only true power forward on the team. He’s not flashy, but he’s exactly what they need: a glue guy who stretches the floor and brings maturity to a young squad. While the Wolves may still add another big, Lyles is the most logical starter to open the season — and his low-risk, minimum deal could pay off big if he steps up.
