Summary
U.S. and Israel are reportedly preparing for a major joint bombing campaign targeting Iran’s energy infrastructure, possibly this weekend—though final approval from the president is still pending. Israel had paused strikes during a U.S.-brokered truce, but now may re-enter the conflict as tensions escalate. While some White House officials voiced concerns, the president signaled readiness to strike hard, echoing his recent tweets about retaliating for every attack in the Strait of Hormuz. The Pentagon stands by, ready to act—but remains silent on specific targets until ordered. The goal? Disrupt Iran’s ability to govern and provide services by crippling its energy sector, following prior strikes on civilian and military bridges.
