Summary
Get ready for a magical, heartwarming adventure: Bowwow Powwow, a brand-new children’s play premiering September 16th at Stages Theatre in Hopkins, features an all-Native cast of young actors ages 7 to 18, bringing Brenda Child’s beloved story to life with dancing, singing dogs, and a young girl’s wild imagination. Created through a powerful collaboration between Stages Theatre and Mni Giizhik Theatre Ensemble, the production celebrates Indigenous culture, heritage, and representation — empowering young performers like 13-year-old Siobhan Hellendrung, who finds the experience like being part of a big family. Director Sara Pillatzki-Warzeha highlights how Native theater fosters confidence, connection, and pride, while the show’s tour plans ensure more kids see themselves on stage. Don’t miss this joyful, culturally rich experience running through September 27th — and beyond. Listen in comfort: Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
