Living as a captive of life on Earth, it is nearly impossible for the average person not to notice the growing divide and the picking of sides for almost any trending topic. The battle of the sexes is one such historically contested affair that continues into today. Equality of the sexes has become a call to action, but the debate can cover all of life as we know it, to an individual’s preferences for applying equality. Where do we start when we already stand opposed to each other, without an agreed-upon foundation to build on and connect from? What does it mean to be equal? Can we be equal? Are we already equal?
