Summary
Bradley Jago, a Portsmouth musician, stunned fans and industry insiders when he was chosen to open for Sam Smith on their UK tour—just one of ten artists picked from over 1500 submissions. Jago met Sam Smith, calling them warm, genuine, and exactly as he’d hoped—proving “don’t meet your idols” is a myth. Stepping onto the London Coliseum stage, he was surprisingly calm, channeling his nerves into a powerful, soulful performance. For Jago, music is therapy and his “queer soul for queer souls” lyrics resonate with everyone, even those who didn’t expect to connect. Sam Smith praised the power of discovering new talent, and Jago’s journey proves how vital these platforms are for launching artists into the spotlight.
