Summary

Everybody talks about homeschool socialization, but I think we're asking the wrong question. After almost 10 years homeschooling, I've realized that simply putting kids around other kids does not automatically create friendship, belonging, or meaningful community — and honestly, the same is true in traditional school settings too. In this episode, I'm talking about the difference between proximity and true connection, what this looked like for our own kids, and why helping children find community often takes far more intentionality than we expect.
