Summary

i started this story and did not complete the thought: when my grandfather was buried a man knelt before me (a fire man! of all things) and said, "Your grandfather wanted YOU to have this." He didn't give it to his son, or his (only) grandson, he gave it to me. and the man's facial expression (essentially, to me) said "do you guys even realize the man we just lost, do you guys appreciate him? i think i loved this man more than any of yall might, and he was just my boss, my coworker..." anyway it was a national medal of honor. imagine earning a NATIONAL MEDAL OF HONOR, and not talking about it. i dont think any of us even knew, until it was in my hand. my dad even asked me for it, i said, "were you listening? that man said he wanted ME to have it, its not yours." anyway: the fight is real, THE LOVE is real. love, WINSLOW
