Summary
On September 11th, 25 years ago, two beloved Los Angeles Kings figures—Garnet “Ace” Bailey, a Hall of Fame scout and team leader, and Mark Bavis, a rising star in hockey scouting—perished when Flight 175 crashed into the World Trade Center. Their legacy lives on through annual awards, helmet patches, and the Mark Bavis Leadership Foundation, which supports young athletes. The Kings honor them by bringing the Stanley Cup to Ground Zero and inviting their families to every victory, proving they’re always part of the family.
