Summary
Drew Doughty has been named captain of the LA Kings, becoming only the seventh defenseman in franchise history to wear the “C” — a historic honor for a player who’s been the team’s bedrock for years. Joining him as alternate captains are Adrian Kempe, Artemi Panarin, and Mikey Anderson, blending veteran grit with rising stars. GM Ken Holland and coach Peter Laviolette praised Doughty’s championship DNA and relentless drive, calling him the ideal leader to inspire the locker room. Doughty, honored and motivated by the role, is on track to break more franchise records while continuing his legacy as a two-time Cup winner and all-time great for the Kings.
