Summary
Hampstead Cricket Club clawed their way back to the Premier Division with a heart-stopping seven-wicket win over Barnes, fueled by a fiery 57 not out from Alex Duguid and a crucial 53 from Aniket Parikh — while Muhammad Ahmed bowled brilliantly with four wickets for just 24. Their promotion hinged on other teams dropping points, which they got when North London and Eastcote both lost, sealing Hampstead’s fate. Meanwhile, North Middlesex narrowly avoided relegation after a 44-run loss to Hornsey, thanks to Teddington’s win over Ealing — sending Ealing and Twickenham down to Division One. It was a season decided by the slimmest margins, where every match and point mattered — and luck played its part.
