Summary
Utah Utes’ playoff hopes could shape the entire Big 12 this season. Can Morgan Scalley's squad power the conference into national relevance—and set the stage for more than one Big 12 team in a future 16-team College Football Playoff? Cam Stewart and JT Wistrcill break down why Utah’s consistency and track record against powerhouses like USC, Oregon, and Ohio State make them the team to watch. The episode explores whether recent Big 12 contenders like Baylor, TCU, or Kansas State could follow Utah’s lead, and how committee perceptions impact playoff access. Plus, controversy swirls as BYU head coach Kalani Sitake claims the Cougars are “doing the most with the least” in the NIL era. Stewart offers a sharp rebuttal, citing BYU’s massive $3.8 billion endowment, key transfers, and financial resources compared to other programs. The show also covers hot topics like the Protect College Sports Act and its potential to reshape conference stability across college football.
