Summary
The Philadelphia Phillies lose game one of their PIVOTAL series against the Atlanta Braves, 5-2 The Braves started the scoring in the 2nd inning bringing three home on an RBI single by Austin Riley, RBI ground out to third by Ha-Seong Kim and a RBI single by Ronald Acuna Jr. Fortunately for the Phillies, Alec Bohm brought his bat to the ballpark as he drove in both runs for the home team. The first baseman came up with an RBI double in the 2nd inning, then hit a solo homer to left in the 4th for his 15th home run of the season. With Cristopher Sanchez’ night over after six innings of three-run baseball, the Phillies went to the bullpen down 3-2. After Alex McFarlane pitched a scoreless 7th, Orion Kerkering took the ball in the 8th. The righty then surrendered a two-run homer to Dubon that gave the Braves a 5-2 advantage.
