Summary
The Phillies LOSE to the Mets 6-3 in game two of their 4 game set in Flushing… The Phils’ 1 thru 5 hitters combined to go 1-18 in the loss including Bryce Harper who went 0-4 with three strikeouts. Edmundo Sosa came up with three of the Phillies six hits including a solo homer while Derek Hill also homered in the loss. Tim Mayza opened the game for the Phillies and lasted just a third of an inning throwing 32 pitches. Newcomer Jose Urquidy took over for Mayza in the first and went on to toss 4.2innings of scoreless baseball. Orion Kerkering surrendered the death blow to the Phillies on a 0-1 sweeper, center cut to Juan Soto who blasted it 428ft for a three-run homer and a 6-2 Mets lead in the 6th.
