Summary
The Philadelphia Phillies open their four-game series in New York with a 3-0 win over the Mets! Aaron Nola came up with ANOTHER great start as he allowed just three hits, issued three walks and struck out four while needing just 81 pitches to get through seven scoreless innings. He even took a no-hit bid into the sixth inning. The Phillies got on the board in the fifth inning when a Bryce Harper ground ball to short with the bases loaded and two outs. The call was originally a 6-4 force out, but the Phillies challenged the call and won! It was ruled Trea Turner just got his sliding mitt in before Brett Baty stepped on the 2nd Base Bag. That led to an RBI infield single by Harper for the first run of the game. Luis Arraez later hit a sac fly to center field to bring home Turner. Justin Crawford followed in the eighth inning with a sac fly RBI of his own to give the Phillies the three nothing advantage. Jhoan Duran pitched the 9th for his 32nd save of the season.
