Summary
The Padres dropped the rubber match in Milwaukee 7-1 after Griffin Canning and the back end of the rotation got buried early by the Brewers offense. Milwaukee scored three in the 1st inning and never looked back as San Diego’s offense once again struggled badly against left-handed pitching. Kyle Harrison and the Brewers bullpen dominated the Padres lineup most of the day while San Diego struck out repeatedly and failed to capitalize after wasting a huge scoring chance in the top of the 1st inning.
