Summary
Sam Alexis is currently ineligible to play for Indiana Basketball — but the story is far from over. On today's Locked On Hoosiers, Jacob Goins breaks down the latest twist in Alexis' ongoing eligibility battle after the NCAA appealed the court order that had allowed him and other players to receive an additional year of eligibility. What exactly happened? Can Alexis still practice with Indiana? Could he play if the Hoosiers had a game today? And why is there still optimism that Darian DeVries will ultimately have the veteran big man available this season? Then, Indiana Football officially knows the quarterback it will face in Week 1 — and it's a very familiar name. Former Hoosier quarterback Tayven Jackson has been named the starter at North Texas. We break down what Jackson brings to the Mean Green, why his mobility could challenge Indiana's defense and why Curt Cignetti's staff should have a head start preparing for its former quarterback. Finally, ESPN released its Top 100 players in college football, and seven Indiana Hoosiers made the list. Josh Hoover, Nick Marsh, Tyrique Tucker, Charlie Becker, Carter Smith and more receive national recognition as Indiana prepares to defend its national championship. Plus, Charlie Becker is putting his touchdowns toward an incredible cause this season. Subscribe to Locked On Hoosiers for daily coverage of Indiana Football and Indiana Basketball.
