Summary
Matt “Tugboat” Wilkinson made his highly anticipated Giants debut and showed exactly why San Francisco was excited to acquire him. Wilkinson pitched well in his first taste of the majors, but did Tony Vitello pull the young left-hander too soon? We break down Tugboat's debut, what stood out about his stuff and whether the Giants should have let him work deeper into the game. Plus, Rafael Devers returns to Boston, giving us a chance to revisit the blockbuster trade that brought him to San Francisco and evaluate how it looks now. We also discuss the Giants' latest pitching addition after claiming left-hander Philip Abner and what he could bring to an organization searching for more pitching depth.
