Summary
Robert Thomas is officially the 25th captain in St. Louis Blues history, and he spoke today about what the honor means to him and the type of leader he wants to be. We break down Thomas' comments, his emphasis on being authentic and believing in the Blues' new leadership group, and why this truly feels like the beginning of a new era in St. Louis. We also discuss the Blues' new alternate captains Colton Parayko, Jake Neighbours, Philip Broberg, and Dylan Holloway, what Thomas learned from former captains Ryan O'Reilly and Brayden Schenn, and why head coach Jim Montgomery already believes Thomas has proven he can take over a room. The Robert Thomas era is officially here. Can this new leadership group lead the St. Louis Blues back to the playoffs?
