Justin, organizer of BitDevs Minneapolis and a Fedimint protocol developer, joins us to talk about what a BitDevs meetup is actually for: furthering the community's understanding of Bitcoin without going so deep into the protocol stack that the impact stops landing. From there we go Socratic on Fedimint itself: guardians, gateways, and users as three distinct roles; how eCash notes are backed by an on-chain multisig; why the Lightning gateway is just a special client running a swap service; and what happens when a mint winds down.
