Summary
The Coin Based boys ( Drew Armstrong & ArbedOut ) take the stage in their LIVE AT PUBKEY show at PubKey NYC to discuss the quantum threat to Bitcoin: Why the quantum threat is a real Bitcoin engineering problem The simplest usable mental model of classical bits vs. qubits (and how private keys could be theoretically derived from exposed public keys) Which Bitcoin address/script types are most exposed, why old P2PK outputs are “low-hanging fruit,” and how newer types reduce (but don’t eliminate) exposure The messy debate over what to do about vulnerable old coins... burn them? Throttle them? Or do nothing and accept the risk? The risk of picking the wrong “quantum-safe” scheme too early and why post-quantum migration is difficult in practice Whether this entire quantum debate is perhaps even just a FUD psyop ...and more! ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Welcome home.
