The Regional Radiation Specialist position sits within the Environmental Health Program of Health Canada. The duties of this position are non-regulatory; instead, Sandy works to collaborate and build partnerships that improve education and awareness about the second leading cause of lung cancer. Sandy has contributed to many radon working groups, steering committees, the Policy Advisory Board of the Canadian-National Radon Proficiency Program and is a past recipient of Health Canada’s Spokesperson of the Year award.
