Summary
TRESOR, the Congolese-born singer, songwriter, producer, and entrepreneur, joins LegendsNLeaders to share his remarkable journey from Goma in the Democratic Republic of the Congo to becoming one of Africa’s most celebrated musical artists. After losing his parents at a young age, TRESOR left the DRC and eventually made his way to Durban, South Africa, where he worked as a car guard and security guard while pursuing his dream of making music. Years of persistence eventually led to a breakthrough career, platinum-selling music, multiple South African Music Awards, and international recognition. TRESOR also takes us behind the scenes of his evolution from artist to songwriter and producer, including working with Drake on Certified Lover Boy and contributing to multiple songs on Honestly, Nevermind . In this episode, we discuss his extraordinary personal journey, breaking into the music industry, finding his unique sound, overcoming adversity, working with some of the biggest artists in the world, and building Jacquel Entertainment Group to help develop the next generation of African talent. This is the story of how TRESOR went from chasing a dream with almost nothing to building a career that has taken African music to the global stage. #TRESOR #TresorRiziki #AfricanMusic #AfroPop #Afrobeats #Drake #MusicProducer #Songwriter #DRC #SouthAfrica #MusicIndustry
