Summary
In week five of his 2026 sermon series - The Case for Biblical Literacy - Pastor Kevin Cain traces the grand storyline of Scripture — from Eden, to the Flood, to the Tower of Babel, to God's covenant with Abraham — to reveal how the 12 tribes of Israel were formed as a "pipeline, not a pool" meant to carry the Gospel to all peoples on earth. Pastor Kevin shares his own family's multi-generational story of faith as a living example of how God weaves ordinary people into His extraordinary plan, while challenging the church with a central truth: "God never needed Israel's throne to keep His promise, and the mission Israel was built for now rests on us." Through three powerful appeals, this sermon calls every believer to let the Gospel flow through their everyday life, one relationship at a time. The message closes with a communion reflection on the blood of the new covenant and the promise that all peoples on earth will be blessed.
