Summary

A man was always looking for a shortcut. He believed that taking a detour was a waste of time. One day, on his way to the market, he saw a narrow path. People said, “Don’t go that way, the road is broken.” But he laughed and said, “You don’t understand, this is the easiest path!” After walking a few steps, he suddenly fell into a big hole. With great difficulty, people pulled him out. While brushing off the dust, he said, “Today I understand that not all shortcuts are easy. Sometimes it is safest and wiser to take a detour.” Everyone laughed, and from that day on, he started walking on the safe path instead of taking shortcuts.
