Summary

One day, a stingy uncle left his house with an umbrella in his hand in heavy rain. Everyone thought that he would definitely open it. But the uncle kept holding the umbrella under his arm and kept getting wet. The passersby were surprised and asked, “Uncle, why aren’t you opening your umbrella?” The uncle laughed and said, “If you open the umbrella, it will get wet, you have to keep it like new!” Hearing this, everyone laughed. In the end, the uncle himself got wet and caught a cold and cough, but the umbrella remained dry. Then he understood that nothing has any real value if it is not used. Excessive stinginess often makes people laugh.
