Summary
A man bought a chicken from the market and came home. He said to his son, “Today I will slaughter and cook this chicken.” The son looked at the chicken and said jokingly, “Today is your last day!” Then the chicken begged, “Give me a chance. I will lay an egg today.” Hearing this, the father and son softened. They thought that it is not always right to make hasty decisions. The chicken was given another chance. The story teaches that kindness and patience often bring good results, and many people can prove their worth when given the opportunity.
