Summary
The Indiana Fever delivered their first wire-to-wire win of the season Wednesday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, beating the Portland Fire 90-73 — and they did it without Caitlin Clark . Less than two hours before tipoff, the Fever announced Clark (back) would miss her first game of the season. But Indiana handled the expansion franchise without her to improve to 3-2 and move above .500 for the first time this season. Aliyah Boston returned to the starting lineup after missing the first game of her career since high school, and she immediately made her presence felt. Lexie Hull knocked down all four of her 3-point attempts (one more than the Portland) while finishing with 16 points and eight rebounds. Veteran Ty Harris moved into the starting lineup contributed seven assists and zero turnovers as the Fever piled up 21 assists as a team. ----- Follow Scott on Twitter and Instagram , and read his work on fieldhousefiles.com .
