Summary
The Fever closed out the first portion of their season in emphatic fashion, beating the Connecticut Sun 111-91 in the franchise’s final visit to Indianapolis before relocating to Houston next season. Indiana trailed by nine after the first quarter, then exploded for 39 points in the second to take control. Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell each scored 34 points — the fourth time they’ve both reached 30 in the same game and the second game in a row they’ve done it. Mitchell extended her WNBA-record streak to 24 consecutive games with at least 20 points, while Clark recorded her fifth game this season with 30+ points and 10+ assists. The Fever enter the World Cup break 26-14 and fourth in the WNBA standings.
