Summary
The Indiana Fever gave their fans plenty to enjoy on Fan Appreciation Night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, bouncing back from Sunday’s ugly loss to Washington with a 96-77 win over the Minnesota Lynx in their regular-season home finale Indiana raced out to a 31-16 lead after the first quarter, and Caitlin Clark led the way with 27 points, seven rebounds, nine assists, and four steals. Kelsey Mitchell added 20 points and four assists, extending her streak of consecutive 20-point games to 27. Minnesota head coach Cheryl Reeve pulled her starters midway through the second quarter and limited them to roughly 13 minutes apiece, but the Fever still had to withstand a push. Indiana was outscored 30-14 in the third quarter, and the Lynx cut the lead to seven before the Fever regained control — important with playoff seeding still at stake for both teams. The Fever improve to 28-15 and will face Minnesota again Thursday in Game 44 before turning their attention to the playoffs. ----- Follow Scott on Twitter and Instagram , and read his work on fieldhousefiles.com .
