Based in Berlin, Berobreo has built his reputation through disco, funk-infused house, and sample-driven productions. For this release, however, he explores a more classic blend of deep house and UK house influences, showcasing another side of his sound. The UK influence is especially evident on "Ready After Midnight" and "Melt Into Candy," both of which evoke the golden era of Julio Bashmore's early-2010s productions. Driven by bouncy sub-bass lines and garagy chords, the tracks capture the anthemic energy that defined that period while maintaining Berobreo's own distinctive touch. The title track, "I Guess I'll Never Know," is a different beast altogether. Standing apart from the rest of the EP, it offers a glimpse into Berobreo's grittier production style, combining soulful vocal snippets that stick long after listening, along with raw, swinging, dust-coated drums. Closing the EP, "Melow High" embraces classic deep house sensibilities, built around a hypnotic late-night chord progression that provides a warm and understated finale to the release.
