Summary
As Paul finally arrives in Rome, we are able to reflect on many of the themes that converge in this moment. Despite Paul’s house arrest, we see the continuing fulfillment of Acts 1:8, that the message of Jesus would go out even to the ends of the earth. We also see the power of the Holy Spirit, accomplishing what no person could do on their own. And we also see, once again, that faithfulness to Jesus does not mean smooth sailing. Paul is still a prisoner, yet is free to bring the good news about Jesus into the heart of the Roman Empire itself. Where might God want to use you to bring the good news?
