This week, we talk forgiveness, second chances, and what it means to choose compassion when you have every reason not to. We talk about addiction, desperation, and giving someone another chance without ignoring what happened. How forgiveness doesn’t mean having no boundaries …sometimes it means putting the right protections in place while still choosing kindness. And how a simple “you’re loved here” can mean everything to someone who feels like no one is in their corner. We talk about the difference between “but” and “and.” I understand what happened AND we can’t have that here. Because maybe compassion and accountability don’t have to be opposites. Maybe we can hold people responsible without shaming them, and protect ourselves without losing our humanity. This week, ask yourself: Who might need a little kindness from me?
