Summary
Professor Giuseppe Acconcia has been traveling, studying, and writing about the Middle East for decades and joined me for a great discussion of the U.S./Israeli war on the region. We discussed the various states being attacked, the damages done so far to Iran, the decision-making process in Tehran--including the roles of the military, revolutionary guard, and political elite, the economic impact of the war so far, the importance of the Kurds, and much more. Bio// Giuseppe Acconcia, (@stradedellest), professor at Padua University and the University of Milan, has been a journalist in various locations in the Middle East, and is the author of "The Great Iran," and co-authored, with Lorenza Perini, of "The Arab Uprisings: Protests, Gender, and War, 2011-2021." --------------- πΈ Outro- "Green and Red Blues" by Moodyπ Linksπ The Great Iran: The Iranian Civil Society from Qajar Iran to Rouhani (https://bit.ly/46Zwhj9) ποΈ Follow Green and Red π Linktree: https://linktr.ee/greenandredpodcast π Website: https://greenandredpodcast.org π Support the Green and Red Podcast π Become a Patron: https://www.patreon.com/greenredpodcast β One-time donation: https://bit.ly/DonateGandR π Our Networks π§ Labor Podcast Network: https://www.laborradionetwork.org π’ Anti-Capitalist Podcast Network: https://linktr.ee/anticapitalistpodcastnetwork π» Listen on WAMF (90.3 FM) New Orleans: https://wamf.orgπ¬ A Green and Red Podcast production π¨βπ« Produced by Bob (@bobbuzzanco) and Scott (@sparki1969) βοΈ Edited by Scottπ Subscribe for more analysis on U.S. politics, leftist strategy, and anti-establishment resistance.
