Summary
In this episode, I opened on the day after Tax Day and spent most of the first hour walking through my interpretation of contracts, citizenship status, and the legal meaning behind tax forms, passports, and the phrase “non-citizen national.” Using the State Department’s “Certificates of Non Citizen Nationality” page as a springboard, Chris and I dug into the distinctions the government makes between citizen, national, and non-citizen national, and I tied that back to the broader themes I’ve been teaching for years about status, allegiance, affidavits, and administrative process. I also explained why I believe learning the underlying concepts matters more than chasing one-off answers, and why I prefer taking these discussions public so longtime listeners and newer students can learn together. From there, the conversation widened into media and research recommendations, cross-promotion with other broadcasters, and a string of current-event reactions. I mentioned the film Unplanned, Henry Ford’s The International Jew, Donald Livingston and the Abbeville Institute, Lew Rockwell and the Mises Institute, and a range of radio and independent media figures our audience may want to explore. We also batted around thoughts on the Notre Dame fire, Julian Assange, Ecuador and the IMF, Wall Street banking scandals, HSBC, and broader questions about power, finance, and the justice system. It was one of those wide-ranging Radio Ranch days where legal status, history, media criticism, and geopolitics all got folded into the same conversation.
