Summary
On this episode, I opened with a reflection on April 1 and the approach of tax season, including why my late friend Ron Brown used to call April 15 the “real” April Fools’ Day. From there, I talked with callers about the importance of asking questions early in the show, the growth of our affidavit project, and the need for people to really understand the foundational legal concepts behind status, jurisdiction, and the words used in law. A big part of the conversation centered on the distinctions listeners believe matter between different forms of citizenship, the meaning of “person,” “resident,” and “res,” and why I keep urging everyone to study the basic framework before trying to fight any battle in court. We also spent time on financial and business topics, especially Karatbars, its coin, its Dubai meeting, and the broader world of gold- and crypto-related network marketing. Along the way we discussed Keith Raniere, Consumers’ Buyline, Pre-Paid Legal, BitClub Network, Anna von Reitz, and older legal reference works like Black’s Law Dictionary, Bouvier’s Law Dictionary, and Vattel’s Law of Nations.
