Summary
Kathleen Chada is a member of a club nobody wants to be in. Angela Doyle Stuart is a member too. Her sister Lisa was murdered by her fiance Gerard O’Hara in their home in 2009, because he couldn’t resist the urge to strangle her. The two women share a bond unique to the family members of murder victims, and have used that bond to fight for better justice. They’re not alone, and this bonus episode examines the stark realities in Ireland’s criminal justice system across sentencing and parole. The families have had some big wins since they united in 2016, but face many more hurdles in pursuit of a system fairer to those left behind. Marian Leonard returns from season 2, Nobody Heard Them Cry, as the women discuss their fight to keep the murderers who ruined their lives locked up as long as they possibly can.
