Summary
Food Travel USA with Elizabeth Dougherty Album: The TRUTH About Food and Travel 060826 Original Broadcast Date: 06/08/26 Most people who visit the Lincoln Memorial never know there's a room underneath it. Scaffolding used during the 1960s civil rights rallies above is still stored there. The acoustics are otherworldly. And the columns holding up one of the most iconic buildings in American history stretch down into a space that feels like the subterranean foundation of the country itself. Elizabeth and the Destination Unknown team take you below the surface of American history to a place most tourists walk right over without knowing it exists. This is what the Lincoln Memorial looks like from underneath.
