There is an epidemic of high blood pressure (hypertension) happening, and it's the one thing you want to control because it can cause heart attacks, strokes, plaque build-up in the arteries (atherosclerosis), among other ailments. Treating high blood pressure's root cause, metabolic syndrome, is key to lowering it and having a complete cardiac examination.
