Summary

In this video I will explain today many patients are getting an incomplete cardiac examination. A coronary calcium score, also known as a heart scan, is vitally important together with a metabolic syndrome workup in the evaluation of cardiovascular disease. The traditional workup of a stress test, echocardiogram, and routine lipid blood tests is inadequate cardiac examination on its own. Knowing whether you have coronary calcium and risk factors allows potent lifestyle changes and dietary interventions to be made.0:00 Intro0:50 Most heart attacks are silent1:33 Ischemia is silent2:00 What happens when you have a blockage3:20 What a Stress test tells you4:35 Blockages less than 70% are still dangerous6:40 A coronary calcium score shows plaque build up8:55 A metabolic work up is needed to stabilize plaque10:50 What we did in the past is incomplete12:03 OutroSubscribe to the Channel!https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOtQHehGWtblMp1gZC8Kq3Q?sub_confirmation=1Sign up for my Heart Health emailshttps://orlandocvi.com/heart-health-updates-yt/My other Videos:What is a Coronary Calcium Score? - https://youtu.be/NYkW2vxyiocWhat is a CT Angiogram (CTA) of the Heart? - https://youtu.be/uHpN1FQ-HvoWhat is Cardioversion? - https://youtu.be/yb-srtyEOuYWhat is a Leadless Pacemaker? - https://youtu.be/2CYZbeYSvVEWhat is Right Heart Catheterization? - https://youtu.be/2hy05-dM-lMWhat is a Heart Attack? - https://youtu.be/lPzT62_b4KoHeart Attack Treatment - https://youtu.be/N0vFV3wOGPUWhat is a Kraft Test? - https://youtu.be/SxS2AayOHmoWhat is an Echocardiogram? - https://youtu.be/DZ3G8P0L_sMMonitoring Heart Failure with CardioMEMS - https://youtu.be/A35IsJxs6mwIntroduction to Cardiac Catheterizations - https://youtu.be/k4UyUBGnojUWhat is a Loop Recorder? - https://youtu.be/mXHAuV27bs8Exte…
