Defense attorney Kevin Reddington asked President Trump to pardon Lindsay Clancy during a Good Morning America interview Tuesday, days after her murder trial ended in a mistrial — a request the president has no authority to grant, since the pardon power under Article II reaches only federal offenses and Clancy is charged under Massachusetts law. Reddington also said he hopes to reach an agreement with Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz, softened his earlier remarks about the prosecution as "bravado," and said the eleven jurors who agreed were at not guilty by reason of insanity.
