Summary
What happens when Jesus looks at someone everyone else has already written off? In Matthew 9, Jesus sees Matthew sitting at a tax booth and says two simple words: “Follow me.” Matthew's past didn't disqualify him. His reputation didn't disqualify him. His failures didn't disqualify him. Jesus saw something different.
