Summary
In May 1991, 30-year-old mother Sherrie Bridgewater was raped and strangled in her Las Vegas apartment. Decades later, the same DNA profile tied her death to the 1975 slaying of Teree Becker in a Westminster, Colorado field. Investigators identified Thomas Martin Elliott only after genetic genealogy and the exhumation of a man who had already taken his own life.
